The problem

Decks and design files get shared as dead PDFs over email. The sender has no idea whether the recipient opened the file, skimmed it, or forwarded it. For a founder sending a pitch, or a design lead routing a review, that blindness is expensive.

The approach

Ambergate treats every shared document as a living link: one URL per recipient, email capture at the door for unknown viewers, per-slide analytics under the hood.

  • Upload once, share many — each recipient gets a distinct, revocable link.
  • Optional email gate, so you know who opened the file before they see it.
  • Page-level dwell time: “they opened it” becomes “they read slides 3, 4, and 7 twice.”
  • UI that matches the document, not the usual martech wrapper.

Outcome

Small product teams can ship focused tools fast when the problem is concrete. Ambergate didn’t need a new category — it needed a better default for a job thousands of people do every week.
